Africans not benefiting from resources boom due to tax dodging and illegal deals - report A combination of tax evasion, secret mining deals and corrupt, self-enriching political elites squandering natural resources, are preventing any hope of prosperity for millions in Africa, according to a report on Africa's progress.

While natural resources may have fuelled a decade of rapid economic growth, most Africans have still not seen the benefits, the 2013 Africa Progress Report says.
